    I really liked your explanation of passives as ‘not hiding the NP, but showing hidden NP’ (in your 2008 paper listed above). Was this article published? I’ve searched google scholar and drawn a blank.

    • Hi Will, I’m very pleased that you found my paper and thanks for reporting your interest. Alas, I never got the paper formally published, despite multiple attempts. After the last revision, I decided to try posting it on a website to see what sort of reaction it would elicit, and this partly explains my appreciation of your feedback.
